UPMT 2014 Dates Announced

UPMT 2014 dates have been announced. Uttarakhand Pre Medical Test is a state level entrance exam conducted by the Government Medical College, Haldwani, as a criterion for students to get admission into medical or dental courses across the state. Qualified candidates can apply for the state quota seats in any one of the medical or dental colleges in Uttarakhand.

Aspirants must have passed 10th and Plus two in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English from any recongnized board across the country. General category students need 50% mark and 40% for SC/ST students to apply for the exam. The board has set age limits for the entrance exam. The lower age limit is that the candidate must have born on or before December 31 , 2014 to apply for the exam. The upper age limit is 25 years old or before December 31, 2014.

Candidates can apply for the exam in offline mode only. Aspirants can get the application form and the prospectus from any of the post offices across the state by paying Rs. 1700/- for general category students and Rs. 1200/- for SC/ST students. The candidates could also get the application form via post. In order to get it, the applicant needs to send request letter and payment of UPMT application form 2014. The application form cost via post is Rs. 1740/- for general category students and Rs. 1240/- for SC/ST candidates.

The sales of the application form has already begun and the last date to get the application form is April 17, 2014. The last date for the submission of application form is April 21, 2014. UPMT 2014 will be held on May 18, 2014. The duration of the exam is three hours with questions based on three subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The syllabus of the exam is Plus two. The result is expected to be announced by June 2014.
