KUMAT 2014 dates have been announced. Kerala University
Management Aptitude Test (KUMAT) is a state level MBA entrance exam conducted
by the University of Kerala as a criterion for students to get admission to MBA
courses in the 7 centers of the University Institute of Management (UIM)
across the Kerala. There is a total of 450 seats available for the candidates
to apply .
The aspirants must be a graduate from any recognized institutes
in India with minimum a 50% of marks. The candidate must have 50% mark in 10th
and Plus two also to apply for the exam. For SC/ST candidates, there will be
relaxation given by the university. This year the officials have decided to go
with online mode completely for all the procedure as most of the MBA exams are
like that and also it is more convenient for the students.
Candidates need to pay Rs. 510/- as the application fee and the
completely filled form along with the DD in favor of “THE FINANCE OFFICER,
UNIVERSITY OF KERALA” drawn from SBT payable at KUOC campus or from Cooperative
banks payable at Trivandrum. The application fee can also be payed
as Chalan of Rs.500 at University cash counter for the application fee and
also the copies of Income Certificate or B.P.L. Certificate and Community
Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
The application registration process has already begun and the
last date to apply for the exam is April 30, 2014. KUMAT 2014 will be held
on May 10, 2014. The Group Discussion will be held on May 16, 2014 and the
Personal Interview on May 17, 2014. The candidates will be selected on the
basis of marks secured in the entrance exam and also on GD and PI. The weight
is 70% entrance mark and 15% each for the GP and PI. The final rank list
will be published on May 30, 2014 and the counseling at the UIM starts from
June 5, 2014. The classes are expected to be commenced from the last week of
June or first week of July, 2014.
